Global Manager, Operational Excellence and Health, Environment and Safety
Jean Bruney is the global manager of Operational Excellence and Health, Environment and Safety (HES) at Chevron Oronite, a position she assumed in August 2017.
Previously she served as the Operational Excellence risk manager in the Corporate Health, Environment and Safety Center.
Bruney joined Chevron Energy Technology in 2004 as a risk specialist and assisted in the development of Chevron’s Operational Excellence risk management process. She has held positions in Upstream Capability (UC) as the environmental lead and for both UC and Corporate HES as the process safety lead. Prior to joining Chevron in 2004, she spent fifteen years at Exxon, where she held a variety of health, safety and environmental technical and leadership positions in both upstream and chemicals.
Bruney has served on several industry committees, including IOGP, API and the Texas Chemical Council, and is an active member of the Center for Chemical Process Safety.
Bruney has a Master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign.
