SAN RAMON, Calif., March 29, 2018 – Chevron Oronite announced that it will again be sponsoring and presenting at the UNITI Mineral Oil Technology Congress to be held April 17-18, 2018 in Stuttgart, Germany. John D. Palazzotto, staff research engineer, Natural Gas Engine Oils, Americas Region, Chevron Oronite, will be making a presentation on April 18 from 11:35 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. His talk is titled: Lubricating Oil to Meet the Demanding Environment Encountered in Renewable Gas Applications in Late Model Gas Engines.
Palazzotto will review the development of a long-life lubricant, which helps minimize corrosion effects and effectively reduces deposits in landfill or biogas applications in modern engine designs. “I will present background on the development project, bench test screening of the lubricant, and performance data generated during filed evaluations of the low ash landfill gas engine oil in model engines as well as renewable gas sources,” he said.
The Congress draws specialists of the lube and fuel sector as well as experts of the mechanical engineering and automotive industry who will discuss recent industry trends and developments in lubricants and fuels.
