Carlos Hanze is senior counsel with Downstream, Chemicals and Midstream (DCM) Law and currently serves as lead counsel for the Chemicals business unit and Oronite. He also serves as lead counsel for Americas Products Integrated Supply Chain.


Carlos joined Chevron in 2008 as intellectual property counsel with Chevron Corporation Law in San Ramon. Since then, he has held a variety of positions, including leadership positions in support of Chevron’s intellectual property, information technology, and Foundation Contracts Center groups.  


Prior to his career with Chevron, Carlos held intellectual property counsel positions with GE Transportation and Ford Motor Company, and engineering positions with Lockheed Martin. 


Carlos holds a JD degree from the Temple University’s Beasley School of Law, a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and science from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Drexel University.
