Chevron Oronite announces change in leadership
SAN RAMON, Calif., ., January 19, 2026 – Chevron Oronite has announced the appointment of Laurent Jumelle as President of Chevron Oronite, effective December 16, 2025. Jumelle succeeds Cary Knuth who has assumed the role of Vice President of Specialty Sales in Chevron.

Based in Rueil-Malmaison, France, Jumelle received his Chemical Engineering degree from Ecole Supérieure de Chimie Physique Électronique de Lyon, France, and his Master of Science degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana. He joined Chevron in 1995 as a Product Specialist and has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility during his career with Chevron. Most recently, Jumelle was the General Manager, Sales & Marketing – Europe, Midde East & Africa.
