chevron oronite announces senior leadership appointment

SAN RAMON, Calif., May 16, 2023 – Chevron Oronite announced that Brett Cooley will assume the role of vice president, Manufacturing and Supply, Chevron Chemicals, effective June 16, 2023. Cooley joined Chevron in 2002 as a designs engineer at the Pascagoula Refinery before moving onto roles of increasing responsibility at the Richmond Refinery. He returns to Chemicals after having served as general manager of Oronite’s Oak Point manufacturing plant and the Americas Manufacturing and Supply region for three years before his most recent assignment in Kazakhstan.

 

Cooley succeeds Mitra Basiri Kashanchi, who was previously announced as president, Chevron Chemicals, effective April 3, 2023.  “We warmly welcome Brett back to the Chevron Chemicals family. His previous experience managing our Oak Point facility, combined with his strong manufacturing background have him well prepared to manage our global manufacturing and supply operations,” said Kashanchi.
