Chevron Oronite to Sponsor & Present at F&L week 2022

SAN RAMON, Calif., April 20, 2022 – Chevron Oronite is sponsoring and presenting at the F+L Conference, which will be returning to an in-person format on April 27-29, 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand. The theme of this year’s conference is “Disruption and Transformation in the Fuels & Lubes Industry,” which explores the current state of the industry, the disruptive forces impacting it, and how companies can prepare to transform their business to meet those challenges.

 

 Rajagopalan Padmanabhan, regional product line manager for AEO, VII and small engines, Chevron Oronite, will give a presentation titled “Biodiesel Usage in Heavy Duty Applications and Lubricant Solutions” on April 28, 2022 (day 2) at 4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m, Bangkok time. Raj will discuss the impact of bio-diesel on the performance of heavy duty diesel engine oil in the areas of oxidation, viscosity increase, corrosive wear etc. when it is used at 20% and upwards. He will discuss how fully formulated additives, in combination with the right base oil and viscosity modifier can help meet bio-diesel usage needs. He’ll also share highlights of the work done by Oronite so far on diesel engine oil formulations with supporting test data that demonstrates compatibility with 20-30% bio-diesel.

 

F&L Week also includes the F&L Asia Award Showcase which celebrates the outstanding contributions and exceptional performance of those working in the Fuels and Lubes industry in Asia.  The “F&L Asia Future Leaders Award” for 2022 will be presented to Dr. Kaustav Sinha, global strategic account manager, Chevron Oronite. The award is a recognition of Kaustav’s leadership and contributions to the industry and a testimonial of the human talent that Chevron Oronite continues to attract and develop in the company.
