new ILSAC GF-7 engine oil category for passenger car motor oils

International Lubricants Standardization and Approval Committee (ILSAC) has announced a new GF-7 engine oil category which will help deliver improved fuel economy as well as benefits for OEMs and consumers, like better protection against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI), piston deposits and timing chain wear.  The expected first licensing date is early 2025. For more information on Oronite’s GF-7 readiness, contact your local Oronite representative.
